Funded Programs
Introduction
At CIS College, our Funded Programs Department is dedicated to designing, implementing, and managing high-impact educational and employability projects funded by local and international donors. Operating across all CIS branches in Lebanon, the department collaborates with development agencies, NGOs, private sector partners, and governmental bodies to deliver inclusive, skills-based programs that respond to the evolving needs of the labor market.
With a strong focus on vulnerable youth, women, and persons with disabilities, our department develops training and employment initiatives in sectors such as Beauty, Maintenance, Construction, Tailoring and Fashion, Digital Skills, Healthcare, Technology, Green economy, and Entrepreneurship. We pride ourselves on our ability to tailor programs that combine technical training, soft skills, and job placement services, supported by our dedicated Career Hub.
By integrating innovation, collaboration, and sustainability into every project, the Funded Programs Department plays a vital role in empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and bridging the gap between education and employment across Lebanon.

Strengthening T-VET to foster Relevant and inclusive Internship Programmes and Employability Skills – Co-funded by the European Union

Description
In Lebanon, communities face challenges arising from humanitarian, economic, and governmental crises that jeopardize their well-being. The escalating unemployment rates, especially among the youth, exacerbate the situation. To address these issues, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (T-VET) emerges as a crucial tool for driving socio-economic development. The aim of the project is to contribute to the following needs:
-
Build capacity of VET providers to strengthen cooperation between private and public stakeholders in the field of vocational education and training for demand-oriented and opportunity driven VET interventions.
-
Improve the quality and responsiveness of VET to economic and social developments to enhance the labor market relevance of skills provision.
-
Align VET provision to local regional and national development strategies. The project offers tailored training, workshops, study visits, co-design initiatives, and training sessions for trainers to support the establishment of STRIPES Centers. These centers are envisioned to act as intermediaries between T-VETs, students (during internships), graduates (seeking employment), and the labor market. Expected outputs include institutional policy documents, protocols, manuals, an online platform, and a website. Ultimately, STRIPES aims to enhance the positive perception of T-VET education among students and stakeholders.
